Clusters of fine bone china leaves make up each Leaf Fall chandelier and light sculpture. Bone china's high strength allows thin, delicate edges, its translucent quality allows the surface to glow when backlit and its white is the most beautiful and whitest of all ceramics. Hand produced and finished in Stoke-on-Trent, the leaves are available in glazed white, with a delicate lustre of gold or platinum around the edges or with the underside hand-finished with a 14kt gold or platinum lustre. Apart from making a stunning sculptural visual centrepiece, Leaf Fall creates a beautiful light and shadow play across its surrounding surfaces as downlights activate a complex lighting effect through reflections and shadows spreading over the floor and being reflected back onto the ceiling. Metallic lustres on the leaves bounce ambient light off the underside, reflecting tiny patterns back up to the ceiling whilst, in contrast, the white parts of the bone china glow as its translucency lets the light through.
